A Hike at the Lone Mountain.

Chad mentioned he wanted to go and hike the Lone Mountain before it go to hot so Tuesday night seemed the time to beat that 100 degree number.  We were definitely dressed up for the hike and everyone ended up wearing tennis shoes... and socks.

We started on the loop and hoped the trail would be somewhere...
there were a few people out that showed us the way.

 It's quite steep.... and rocky.

The girls hurried up ahead and I went with them to the first hill... Luke and Chad came behind.. "Daddy, don't fall off the cliff, it's very huge!"

It was quite windy at the top.

They were excited to find the bench a guy had told us about to sit on...

It's quite a view even from that first landing.

Still quite windy.... she got her glamour shot in trying to get a picture with that wind blown hair.

"Hold on Milla! You got to it's windy!"

Then the girls and Chad got sent off....

Luke and I followed behind... this boy just walked and walked and talked and talked.
"I can't look at you. I'm doing hard work."

We made it to the top of the second hill and I tried to convince him we should start back down to wait for the girls and daddy... we hung out there on the second for a bit and then headed back down... he did great.

"I did it!"

"Can you sit in this little seat."  "No.. because I have a big booty." Luke

We made our way back down and he wanted to go and sit on the bench... half way down he noticed that people were sitting on it.  I told him well maybe they will be gone when we get there.

They weren't... but we stood by the sign and sat by some rocks.  We were just sitting there but he was watching them in hopes they would move off the bench...
"aw.. they kissed." ha.... observant kid.

So instead he fixed the sign because it was missed a screw at the bottom.

We spotted them coming off the very top and figured we could make it down almost as fast as they could both of the hills...

So down we went and met them at the car.. and passed the silly green car, dogs, and a portapotty... that only grown ups use for some reason.

From the girls.... at the second hill.

At the top.  They calmed down slightly as it's a little bit more narrow up there.

Their hike selfie.

Liv was showing Camilla how fun it will be when the temple is built and we can do this hike and see the temple just like on the other mountain.  We're excited too... as we drove by the lot the girls thought it needed a bit of clearing... Luke said muck could do it... a few mucks will need to do it.
