"Proud to Be American" Day

Camilla wanted to surprise whoever answered the door.

She almost made it... but surprised herself.
We picked up Grandpa Great on the way and found out the house around the corner is up for a million and three... good luck.

I didn't think we needed treats but Grandpa thought the kids needed treats... so I gave them a few options and they decided that we needed Rice Krispies AND caramel popcorn.  Treats for the weekend.

They softened Grandpa with some cards.  Good thing Chad came from work. ha.

After a good bbq we went for fireworks.

We waited longer than we have ever... and it was a stretch for the kids.. but they made it.

The close neighbors did a few big ones while we were out.

Pop its were a hit.

Grandma found some glo sticks too which were also very fun... you've got to have a "proud to be American" bracelet.

Luke: "These are 'proud to be American' fireworks Grandma."

"proud to be american" bracelets.....It was Luke's favorite day... proud to be american everything....
but he did tell us everyday is proud to be american day! He's big fan of America and the song.

Chad was in charge of the torch this year (after finding it in the BIG toolbox). Sparklers were a hit.

Grandpa watered his grass...

Sparklers and ground fireworks and sometimes air fireworks...

Grandpa was telling lots of stories to Chad....

Still throwing some pop its.

After a big box of fireworks, all the sparklers and pop its we called it a night and watched for fireworks all the way home.
