Oakley was blessed on Sunday morning.
We had a good row for all of us....
and Oakley was a happy girl.
A guy came over to us and said "are you here for a baby blessing or the bishopric?" I said well a baby blessing.... and he talked with us a little more and then left. Scott came over to talk to Chad and we told him the story of the guy... Scott quickly said oh.. yeah.. and then said who? It ended up being his ministering partner that said it... and I thought hmm... I've got a guess after that.
Oakley was a very good girl during her blessing. The girls helped record it and Grandma wrote...
After a while Oakley came down our row to Grandma and Grandpa. After the Stake President got up she started fussing and they handed her to me.. So we went and walked. She was not happy but I told her that was okay because she was such a good girl during her blessing. After a bit I said "Oak... you've got to calm down a bit because I think we need to go in and see what your Dad is..." and she then calmed right down and went to sleep. So we walked down closer and stood by the door of the chapel with a minute or two to spare.
Scott was called as the second counselor... and it made me more emotional than I thought. Grandma and Grandpa were in on the surprise... and we know they're good at secrets.
Luke was touching her feet and saying how pretty she looked.
We hadn't been planning on staying for second hour and just heading home so we had told the kids we weren't going to primary.... and changing those plans and taking pictures they didn't think they needed to go in half way through class.... So we just hung out.
The Webb crew...
A big day for Scott and Camille.
Oakley's not crying you see.... :)
A little before 11 we went down to the stake offices and they ordained and then set apart....
The fruit snacks were a good find...
Dad ordained Scott... how many hands?
On the way out the kids had a little primary lesson for a bit... Those were my favorite chairs when I was little and we only had a few at our building...
It was a sweet day and we were glad we were able to be there. We said goodbye and gave hugs and then laughed as we passed Camille out in the parking lot.
