After church we had the afternoon before we needed to be back and so we went for a drive.
We learned about water towers, valeting, and looked at all the cool ships and convertibles.
Luke always told us that we should have gotten the convertible as our rental car....
Looking online we had found Coconuts before and planned to go and then it was a ways out... so we said why not and headed that way. You had to valet here so we did and walked up... and they didn't have any spots but told us next door had the same menu (plus a few) and it was just first come first serve... so we walked over and found the perfect table big enough right there. We had many tender mercies this trip and this was one.
The kids were a bit hungry... so we ordered them pina coladas. we should clarify virgin... so this trip they learned about fancy drinks and what to get in them.. Liv was especially careful to always mention the virgin part.
They were happy with them.
Luke and Camilla got "buttered shells" with a great amount of butter. They were very happy after that. They also played restaurant many times after and would give the list of things they had at their restaurant and "buttered shells" was always a top pick.
For Kyle.
I guess Liv took our picture... the fish tacos and peas and rice were really good.
We saw parasailers....
and waited for the keys to our car... which was right there so we just drove it.
Chad found his car... and talked to the guy across the way. The kids thought this was weird. He restored it to it's original in the 70s...
We also drove past the International Swimming Hall of Fame... the diving boards were so high.
The back seat crew.. feeling better after some food.
