Sparkle.

Sparklers were saved until Sunday in hopes of a happier Liv.  She was indeed happier... but quickly falling tired.  So.  We settled for dusk.  Not as good for pictures... but there's always next year.

Dad sprayed his new plants to ensure that they would not catch fire.  Some fire science student had to put out a small spark under a plant last year... Good thing he had learned about fire. :)

Liv was only a little apprehensive.  She held it and smiled and thought it was great... her arm had to be held out all the way.

She was happy until this...  Chad went to light his on hers and she was not prepared for it.  When his lit she freaked a bit... dropped her sparkler in the grass and ran... No damage to the grass.

"You would be afraid if your Dad lit one in your face."

The old school sparklers are so cute! and they didn't have so much smoke...

Grandpa Great is the Harry Potter wand master.

Worry. Concern.  Grandpa will protect you.

Liv showed Grandpa Great how to climb into the buckets.

And then Logan and Daddy jumped off the fence at her... a little surprise...

followed by laughter...

After finishing we asked her how fireworks were in hopes that it wasn't too traumatizing... She said "scary fireworks."  Hopefully she will just remember the first part by next year.
