Yes.

We went to the lake.  Yes. It was October. And Yes. There were so many people!

Tiny muffins just for Liv.

Her special spot.

We went over to the fuel dock and there were lots of ducks around.  A few got a couple potato chips and then we scared off the rest of them.  It was so cool to watch them run across the water.

And then for the picture we scared the bunch...

Liv was the protector of the chips while they were blowing in the wind. Can't lose the chips... we would not have been able to stay very long. ;)

Prior to getting there we tried to explain that on the boat you go potty in the lake... or sit at the back...
she responded "i don't think that's a good idea... I don't go potty on the boat."  good thing the boat can get wet...

It was a bit chilly... with warm spots every once in awhile.  Liv was ready to swim and swim and swim.

Kicking legs to try and keep warm.

Water is her element... it's just taken a little bit.

There was a sailboat race or hangout going on.  It was a pretty sight.

Chad riding goofy.. "That's why they call this goofy! It's SO GOOFY!"

She was a tired girl by the end... I was surprised she didn't fall asleep right there.

The first time I have seen the Desert Princess in a long time... we went for a ride to the dam on this boat when we were little.

Then Liv learned how to wakeboard.  She told us she didn't want to go out... practicing in the boat is just as good... almost as good as practicing in the family room.

Turn!

Grandpa drove the boat (noises and all) while she wakeboarded.

And then she drove the boat... literally.  She turned and turned and turned... we went in a few circles.  Logan and Chad were up front wondering what Grandpa was doing... they didn't believe that Liv was really driving.

and then she reached for the throttle.... good thing Grandpa's fast.

Logan was jumping early and deserved some horn beeps so Grandpa showed Liv how to do it...
she learned quickly.  Turn. Beep! Turn. Beep! Beep! Turn. BEEEP!

Sometimes she tried to get fancy and go through the steering wheel... it didn't work so well.

Previously when driving up the hill after putting it on the trailer Liv has assumed her position and driven the boat up... same here.  So she was driving and Chad was driving the truck up the hill.  Almost to the top and Liv honks the horn and Chad and Logan turn "what?!" oh just honking the horn... which continued as we wiped off the boat.  Silly girl.
