Valentine's day morning we collected our ziploc bags and made sure we were wearing something pink or purple.
Student leaders went and sang at Levy Gardens and so Liv was excited for a field trip. They sang and took them a little treat and then she talked with the people afterward for a bit. They went at Christmas too and can just walk a little ways up the road...
Luke and I had gone to Dillards and looked around and found a huge stash of kids reef flip flops... They weren't cheap enough for me to jump on them immediately... but Luke had talked about them for the next week and a half. After looking at sandals everywhere else I figured these are cheaper and nicer than those and he will wear and love them the whole summer... so we made our way to Dillards. He was saying "we are going to buy those flip flops (he is very particular on the difference between flip flops and sandals because he had a pair of each last year and that's how he differentiated them) today!" and I was telling him maybe they have them.... Things at Dillards clearance don't always last.
So we went. They were there. He was thrilled... and held the bag as we looked at the rest of the stores.
Camilla had a party and Liv's class passed around valentines. They went through all their treats in the car... and then ate another half of the candy on the way home.
Then went through and grouped it together to look at it when we got home.
Kristie and Jeff are Camilla's primary teachers which is wonderful. They stopped by with a valentine ball for the kids. They had a delightful time....
Since the science project board was due on Friday this was the date we had planned to do it... especially in the midst of a crazy week. Grandma called and said Grandpa wanted to come visit. He came bearing valentines.... Note Luke just waiting holding his bag to show everyone his new flip flops. Chad would vote that he got the best Valentine.. sandalwood soap.
It was funny to see personality... Luke opened his right away and went to work.. saving only one for the morning. Alivia had one and a little later another.... and then finished them off on Valentines. Camilla opened them and looked at how pretty they were... then wanted to save them for Valentines... and then ate one each day because she said they were so pretty.
Luke got up and came out with his heart.
