The Opening Ceremonies.

 We were excited to watch the opening ceremonies... and all the olympics.  I taped the Salt Lake opening and closing and watched them over and over and over (not something out of the normal) but they were a highlight.  So we were excited to pass on our olympic love... and then the boats just kept coming.... there were some pretty moments but not impressive.  Freedom fries it is. 

Camilla had gotten pom poms as her dollar store prize while I was at the temple in preparation for the ceremonies.. and she cheered her heart out.  We had told the girls they could stay up and watch... Luke thought he wanted to as well....

and he thought Lady Gaga's performance was the funniest thing ever. 

Luke watched for a bit and then just went into our bed and said I'll watch it later and was asleep. 

At about the right time we all laid down on the couch and kind of watched/fell asleep... which worked out nicely... 

 But... we did watch Celine later... and live or not... pre recorded or not I don't even care... it was gorgeous and she sounded amazing... even if the translated "dye your hair blonde" are the actual words.  But all I could say is "SHE's CANADIAN" .... an appropriate HIMYM reference.  Chad and I thought it was impressive that it knew she was singing a global language..... french is a global language.
